We are, and we live, in the information and digitized society, and ever new challenges await us. Adding thinking functionalities to the machines and creating AI, we strive to advance our civilization. This process is ongoing and we believe that all professionals in the industry shall be responsible and aware of the complexity of the tasks ahead. In Tino Space, we want to implement the ethical and moral AI standards in our AI engineering policy.

The ability to create thinking machines, brings about many ethical questions. We need to make sure that machines do not harm the people and other morally important beings, while at the same time keeping there shall be a moral status of the machines themselves.

It's a complex issue, and a very demanding one. For that matter we want to institute a body of professionals in Tino Space, which shall help us apply and embed the values we cherish. We want the Ethical Board to be independent from the operations, and to help us in choosing the right way.

It is increasingly important to develop AI algorithms, that are not only powerful and scalable, but at the same time open for inspection. Responsibility, transparency, confidentiality are some of the criteria we apply in judging human behavior. Therefore, we shall apply similar criteria when we create AI that resemble human judgement within a framework of social system scaled on multiple machines.

The Ethics Board shall be composed of 11 individuals. We are open for suggestions and applications.
